How does the process work?

Your firearm is completely disassembled and all metal parts bead blasted. Parkerizing solution is then applied to all ferrous surfaces to provide the ultimate level of adhesion. The parts are then sprayed using high quality HVLP sprayers. Any camouflage patterns are applied and all parts cured in a low temperature oven. The firearm is reassembled, lubed and function checked prior to return to the customer.

What items can I DuraCoat?

Since the DuraCoat application process does not require high curing temperatures, many items including scopes, optics, and stocks can be coated. The applications are limited only to your imagination.

Will DuraCoat wear off?

Under normal use your DuraCoat finish will last several lifetimes. Testing has shown that DuraCoat, once cured, can only be removed by displacing the underlying material - ex. gouging the steel. One of the many advantages of DuraCoat is that if an area does need to be repaired, that specific area can be touched up rather than refinishing the entire piece.

What colors and patterns are available?

Twenty stock camouflage patterns are available, or you can customize your firearm by letting us design a custom pattern with the colors best suited to your individual needs.

Many other options are available, including Dura-Heat Coating for high temperature applications, DuraFil Surface Filler for extremely pitted and corroded areas, and DuraCoat Texturing for adding an extra level of texture to handles and high wear areas.

DuraCoat comes in over 200 standard colors, plus clear and can be blended to match any color of the spectrum. Available in matte and semi-gloss sheens. DuraCoat can be blended to any sheen level, and applied in a multitude of textures.

DuraCoat can be applied to ferrous metals, alloys, stainless steel, synthetics, wood, etc, etc. No preheating or baking is required.
